1Al-Furqaan · 1/77
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا
FR · HamidullahQu'on exalte la Bénédiction de Celui qui a fait descendre le Livre de Discernement sur Son serviteur, afin qu'il soit un avertisseur à l'univers.
EN · Saheeh InternationalBlessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Highly blessed is He, Who has sent down Al-Furqan, to His servant so that it may be a warner to all mankind:
2Al-Furqaan · 2/77
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًۭا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٌۭ فِى ٱلْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقْدِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahCelui à qui appartient la royauté des cieux et de la terre, qui ne S'est point attribué d'enfant, qui n'a point d'associé en Sa royauté et qui a créé toute chose en lui donnant ses justes proportions.
EN · Saheeh InternationalHe to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)He to Whom belongs the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth: Who has begotten no son: Who has no partner in His Sovereignty: Who created each and every thing and then ordained its destiny.
3Al-Furqaan · 3/77
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةًۭ لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا نَفْعًۭا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًۭا وَلَا حَيَوٰةًۭ وَلَا نُشُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahMais ils ont adopté en dehors de Lui des divinités qui, étant elles-mêmes créées, ne créent rien, et qui ne possèdent la faculté de faire ni le mal ni le bien pour elles-mêmes, et qui ne sont maîtresses ni de la mort, ni de la vie, ni de la résurrection.
EN · Saheeh InternationalBut they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Yet the people have set up, besides Him, deities, who do not create anything but are themselves created: who can neither harm nor help even themselves: who have no power over life or death, nor can they raise up the dead.
4Al-Furqaan · 4/77
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفْكٌ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ وَأَعَانَهُۥ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ ءَاخَرُونَ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءُو ظُلْمًۭا وَزُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahLes mécréants disent: «Tout ceci n'est qu'un mensonge qu'il (Muhammad) a inventé, et où d'autres gens l'ont aidé». Or, ils commettent là une injustice et un mensonge.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Those who have rejected the Message of the Prophet, say, "This (Al-Furgan) is a forgery which this man himself has devised, and some others have helped him at it. " What a cruel injustice and an impudent lie!
5Al-Furqaan · 5/77
وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٱكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِىَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةًۭ وَأَصِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt ils disent: «Ce sont des contes d'anciens qu'il se fait écrire! On les lui dicte matin et soir!»
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)They say, "These things are the writings of the ancients which he has got copied down for himself, and then these are recited to him in the morning and evening.''
6Al-Furqaan · 6/77
قُلْ أَنزَلَهُ ٱلَّذِى يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا
FR · HamidullahDis: «L'a fait descendre Celui qui connaît les secrets dans les cieux et la terre. Et Il est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux.
EN · Saheeh InternationalSay, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)O Muhammad, say to them, "This has been sent down by Him, Who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth." The fact is that He is very Forgiving and Merciful.
7Al-Furqaan · 7/77
وَقَالُوا۟ مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِى فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۙ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌۭ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُۥ نَذِيرًا
FR · HamidullahEt ils disent: «Qu'est-ce donc que ce Messager qui mange de la nourriture et circule dans les marchés? Que n'a-t-on fait descendre vers lui un Ange qui eût été avertisseur en sa compagnie?
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)They say, "What sort of a Messenger is he that he eats food and moves about in the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to accompany him and threaten (the disbelievers)?
8Al-Furqaan · 8/77
أَوْ يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ تَكُونُ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٌۭ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا ۚ وَقَالَ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًۭا مَّسْحُورًا
FR · HamidullahOu que ne lui a-t-on lancé un trésor? Ou que n'a-t-il un jardin à lui, dont il pourrait manger (les fruits)?» Les injustes disent: «Vous ne suivez qu'un homme ensorcelé».
EN · Saheeh InternationalOr [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Or why has not at least a treasure been sent down for him or a garden given to him for (easy) sustenance?" And the wicked people say, "You are following a man bewitched."
9Al-Furqaan · 9/77
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا۟ لَكَ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ فَضَلُّوا۟ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahVois à quoi ils te comparent! Ils se sont égarés. Ils ne pourront trouver aucun chemin.
EN · Saheeh InternationalLook how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Just see what strange arguments they bring forward with regard to you! They have gone so far astray that they cannot charge any thing against you.
10Al-Furqaan · 10/77
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِن شَآءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًۭا مِّن ذَٰلِكَ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ وَيَجْعَل لَّكَ قُصُورًۢا
FR · HamidullahBéni soit Celui qui, s'Il le veut, t'accordera bien mieux que cela: des Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux; et Il t'assignera des châteaux.
EN · Saheeh InternationalBlessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Highly blessed is He, Who, if He wills, could give you much more and better things than what they propose for you: (Not one but) many gardens, beneath which rivers flow; and big castles:
11Al-Furqaan · 11/77
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ سَعِيرًا
FR · HamidullahMais ils ont plutôt qualifié l'Heure de mensonge. Nous avons cependant préparé, pour quiconque qualifie l'Heure de mensonge, une Flamme brûlante.
EN · Saheeh InternationalBut they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)The fact of the matter is that these people have denied "the Hour", --And for the one who denies the coming of the Hour, We have prepared a blazing Fire.
12Al-Furqaan · 12/77
إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا تَغَيُّظًۭا وَزَفِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahLorsque de loin elle les voit, ils entendront sa fureur et ses pétillements.
EN · Saheeh InternationalWhen the Hellfire sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)When it will see them from afar, they will hear the sounds of its raging and roaring.
13Al-Furqaan · 13/77
وَإِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ مِنْهَا مَكَانًۭا ضَيِّقًۭا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا۟ هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt quand on les y aura jetés, dans un étroit réduit, les mains liées derrière le cou, ils souhaiteront alors leur destruction complète.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)And when they are chained together and flung into a narrow space therein, they will begin to call for death.
14Al-Furqaan · 14/77
لَّا تَدْعُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًۭا وَٰحِدًۭا وَٱدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًۭا كَثِيرًۭا
FR · Hamidullah«Aujourd'hui, ne souhaitez pas la destruction une seule fois, mais souhaitez-en plusieurs.
EN · Saheeh International[They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)(Then it will be said to them:) "Do not call for one death today, but call for many deaths."
15Al-Furqaan · 15/77
قُلْ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ ٱلْخُلْدِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۚ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَآءًۭ وَمَصِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahDis: «Est-ce mieux ceci? ou bien le Paradis éternel qui a été promis aux pieux, comme récompense et destination dernière?
EN · Saheeh InternationalSay, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Ask them "Is this (Fire) better or the everlasting Garden which has been promised to the God-fearing righteous people?" which will be the recompense of their good deeds and the final destination of their journey
16Al-Furqaan · 16/77
لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ خَٰلِدِينَ ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْدًۭا مَّسْـُٔولًۭا
FR · HamidullahIls auront là tout ce qu'ils désireront et une demeure éternelle. C'est une promesse incombant à ton Seigneur.
EN · Saheeh InternationalFor them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)wherein they will get everything they desire and wherein they will dwell for ever. This is a promise which your Lord has taken upon Himself to fulfil.
17Al-Furqaan · 17/77
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ ءَأَنتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِى هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ
FR · HamidullahEt le jour où Il les rassemblera, eux et ceux qu'ils adoraient en dehors d'Allah, Il dira: «Est-ce vous qui avez égaré Mes serviteurs que voici, ou ont-ils eux-mêmes perdu le sentier?»
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)And on that Day (your Lord will gather these people together as well as their deities, whom they worship besides AIlah. Then He will ask them, "Did you mislead these servants of Mine, or did they themselves go astray?"
18Al-Furqaan · 18/77
قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِى لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahIls diront: «Gloire à Toi! Il ne nous convenait nullement de prendre en dehors de Toi des patrons protecteurs mais Tu les as comblés de jouissance ainsi que leurs ancêtres au point qu'ils en ont oublié le livre du rappel [le Coran]. Et ils ont été des gens perdus».
EN · Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)They will answer, "Glory be to Thee! We dared not take anyguardian besides Thee: (they were misled because) Thou didst give them and their forefathers all the good things of life till they forgot the Admonition, and incurred the punishment. "
19Al-Furqaan · 19/77
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفًۭا وَلَا نَصْرًۭا ۚ وَمَن يَظْلِم مِّنكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًۭا كَبِيرًۭا
FR · Hamidullah«Ils vous ont démentis en ce que vous dites. Il n'y aura pour vous ni échappatoire ni secours (possible). Et quiconque des vôtres est injuste, Nous lui ferons goûter un grand châtiment».
EN · Saheeh InternationalSo they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you - We will make him taste a great punishment.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Thus will your gods deny alI that you are professing today. Then you shall neither be able to repel your punishment nor shall get any help from anywhere; and whoso is guilty. of iniquity'' among you, We shall make him taste a severe torment.
20Al-Furqaan · 20/77
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۗ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍۢ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt Nous n'avons envoyé avant toi que des messagers qui mangeaient de la nourriture et circulaient dans les marchés. Et Nous avons fait de certains d'entre vous une épreuve pour les autres -endurerez-vous avec constance? - Et ton Seigneur demeure Clairvoyant.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)O Muhammad,, all the Messengers whom We sent before you also ate food and moved about in the streets. In fact, We have made you all a means of test for one another. Will you show patience? for your Lord sees everything.
21Al-Furqaan · 21/77
۞ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّۭا كَبِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt ceux qui n'espèrent pas Nous rencontrer disent: «Si seulement on avait fait descendre sur nous des Anges ou si nous pouvions voir notre Seigneur!» En effet, ils se sont enflés d'orgueil en eux-mêmes, et ont dépassé les limites de l'arrogance.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Those people, who have no fear of coming before Us, say, "Why should not the angels be sent down to us? Or else we should see our Lord. " Great arrogance have they assumed in regard to themselves, and have transgressed all limits in their rebellion.
22Al-Furqaan · 22/77
يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًۭا مَّحْجُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahLe jour où ils verront les Anges, ce ne sera pas une bonne nouvelle, ce jour-là, pour les injustes, ils (les Anges) diront: «Barrage totalement défendu»!
EN · Saheeh InternationalThe day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)The Day, when they will see the angels, will not be a day of rejoicing for the criminals; they will cry out, "May Allah save us!"
23Al-Furqaan · 23/77
وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍۢ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ هَبَآءًۭ مَّنثُورًا
FR · HamidullahNous avons considéré l'œuvre qu'ils ont accomplie et Nous l'avons réduite en poussière éparpillée.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Then We shall turn to what they had done and render it vain like scattered dust.
24Al-Furqaan · 24/77
أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌۭ مُّسْتَقَرًّۭا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahLes gens du Paradis seront, ce jour-là, en meilleure demeure et au plus beau lieu de repos.
EN · Saheeh InternationalThe companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)(On the contrary) only those who have deserved the Garden, will have a good abode on that Day and a cool place for midday rest.
25Al-Furqaan · 25/77
وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا
FR · HamidullahEt le jour où le ciel sera fendu par les nuages et qu'on fera descendre des Anges,
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)On that Day, a cloud will appear rending the sky and the angels will be senthi down rank after rank.
26Al-Furqaan · 26/77
ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرًۭا
FR · Hamidullahce jour-là, la vraie royauté appartient au Tout Miséricordieux, et ce sera un Jour difficile aux infidèles.
EN · Saheeh InternationalTrue sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)The real Kingdom on that Day will belong only to the Merciful, and it will be a very hard Day for the disbelievers.
27Al-Furqaan · 27/77
وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahLe jour où l'injuste se mordra les deux mains et dira: «[Hélas pour moi!] Si seulement j'avais suivi chemin avec le Messager!...
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)The unjust man will bite at his hand and say, "Would that I had stood by the Messenger!
28Al-Furqaan · 28/77
يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahMalheur à moi! Hélas! Si seulement je n'avais pas pris «un tel» pour ami!...
EN · Saheeh InternationalOh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)O, woe to me! Would that I had not chosen so and so for a friend!
29Al-Furqaan · 29/77
لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ خَذُولًۭا
FR · HamidullahIl m'a, en effet, égaré loin du rappel [le Coran], après qu'il me soit parvenu». Et le Diable déserte l'homme (après l'avoir tenté).
EN · Saheeh InternationalHe led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)For it was he, who had deluded me to reject the Admonition which had come to me. Satan has proved very treacherous to man. "
30Al-Furqaan · 30/77
وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt le Messager dit: «Seigneur, mon peuple a vraiment pris ce Coran pour une chose délaissée!»
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)And the Messenger will say, "O my Lord, my people had made this Qur'an the object of their ridicule."
31Al-Furqaan · 31/77
وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًۭا وَنَصِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahC'est ainsi que Nous fîmes à chaque prophète un ennemi parmi les criminels. Mais ton Seigneur suffit comme guide et comme soutien.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)O Muhammad, in this very way We have made the criminals the enemies of every Prophet, but your Lord suffices for you as your Guide and Helper.
32Al-Furqaan · 32/77
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ جُمْلَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَٰهُ تَرْتِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt ceux qui ne croient pas disent: «Pourquoi n'a-t-on pas fait descendre sur lui le Coran en une seule fois?» Nous l'avons révélé ainsi pour raffermir ton cœur. Et Nous l'avons récité soigneusement.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)The disbelievers say, "Why has not the entire Qur'an been sent down to this man all at nce?" -Well, this has been done to impress it deeply on your mind, and (for the same object) We have sent it down piecemeal by degrees.
33Al-Furqaan · 33/77
وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا
FR · HamidullahIls ne t'apporteront aucune parabole, sans que Nous ne t'apportions la vérité avec la meilleure interprétation.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

34Al-Furqaan · 34/77
ٱلَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّۭ مَّكَانًۭا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahCeux qui seront traînés [ensemble] sur leurs visages vers l'Enfer, ceux-là seront dans la pire des situations et les plus égarés hors du chemin droit.
EN · Saheeh InternationalThe ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way.

35Al-Furqaan · 35/77
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ وَزِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahEn effet, Nous avons apporté à Moïse le Livre et lui avons assigné son frère Aaron comme assistant.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.

36Al-Furqaan · 36/77
فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahPuis Nous avons dit: «Allez tous deux vers les gens qui ont traité de mensonge Nos preuves». Nous les avons ensuite détruits complètement.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)then We said to them, "Go to the people who have treated Our Revelations as false. " So We annihilated those people utterly.
37Al-Furqaan · 37/77
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt le peuple de Noé, quand ils eurent démenti les messagers, Nous les noyâmes et en fîmes pour les gens un signe d'avertissement. Et Nous avons préparé pour les injustes un châtiment douloureux.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)The same was the case with the people of Noah when they charged the Messenger with imposture: We drowned them and made them a sign of warning for entire mankind, and We have prepared a painful chastisement for the unjust.

وَعَادًۭا وَثَمُودَا۟ وَأَصْحَٰبَ ٱلرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًۢا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt les 'Aad, les Thamûd, les gens d'Ar-Rass et de nombreuses générations intermédiaires!
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.

39Al-Furqaan · 39/77
وَكُلًّۭا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ ۖ وَكُلًّۭا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahA tous, cependant, Nous avions fait des paraboles et Nous les avions tous anéantis d'une façon brutale.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.

40Al-Furqaan · 40/77
وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahIls sont passés par la cité sur laquelle est tombée une pluie de malheurs. Ne la voient-ils donc pas? Mais ils n'espèrent pas de résurrection!
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Surely, these people have passed by that habitation on which was rained an evil rain: have they not seen its ruins? But they do not expect another life in the Hereafter.

وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا
FR · HamidullahEt quand ils te voient, ils ne te prennent qu'en raillerie: «Est-ce là celui qu'Allah a envoyé comme Messager?
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?

42Al-Furqaan · 42/77
إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
FR · HamidullahPeu s'en est fallu qu'il ne nous égare de nos divinités, si ce n'était notre attachement patient à elles!». Cependant, ils sauront quand ils verront le châtiment, qui est le plus égaré en son chemin.
EN · Saheeh InternationalHe almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)He had almost led us astray from our gods, had we not remained firm in our faith with regard to them. " The time is not far when they will see the torment and realize who had strayed far from the truth.
43Al-Furqaan · 43/77
أَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا
FR · HamidullahNe vois-tu pas celui qui a fait de sa passion sa divinité? Est-ce à toi d'être un garant pour lui?
EN · Saheeh InternationalHave you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?

44Al-Furqaan · 44/77
أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
FR · HamidullahOu bien penses-tu que la plupart d'entre eux entendent ou comprennent? Ils ne sont en vérité comparables qu'à des bestiaux. Ou plutôt, ils sont plus égarés encore du sentier.
EN · Saheeh InternationalOr do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.

45Al-Furqaan · 45/77
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًۭا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahN'as-tu pas vu comment ton Seigneur étend l'ombre? S'Il avait voulu, certes, Il l'aurait faite immobile. Puis Nous lui fîmes du soleil son indice,
EN · Saheeh InternationalHave you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication.

FR · Hamidullahpuis Nous la saisissons [pour la ramener] vers Nous avec facilité.

FR · HamidullahEt c'est Lui qui vous fit de la nuit un vêtement, du sommeil un repos et qui fit du jour un retour à la vie active.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection.

48Al-Furqaan · 48/77
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ طَهُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt c'est Lui qui envoya les vents comme une annonce précédant Sa miséricorde. Nous fîmes descendre du ciel une eau pure et purifiante,
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water

لِّنُحْۦِىَ بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَآ أَنْعَٰمًۭا وَأَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيرًۭا
FR · Hamidullahpour faire revivre par elle une contrée morte, et donner à boire aux multiples bestiaux et hommes que Nous avons créés.
EN · Saheeh InternationalThat We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)so that He may revive the dead land, and quench the thirst of many of His creatures from among beasts and men.
50Al-Furqaan · 50/77
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahNous l'avions répartie entre eux afin qu'ils se rappellent (de Nous). Mais la plupart des gens se refusent à tout sauf à être ingrats.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)We present the same phenomenon over and over again before them so that they may learn a lesson from it; but most people decline to adopt any other attitude than of disbelief and ingratitude.
51Al-Furqaan · 51/77
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍۢ نَّذِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahOr, si Nous avions voulu, Nous aurions certes envoyé dans chaque cité un avertisseur.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.

52Al-Furqaan · 52/77

FR · HamidullahN'obéis donc pas aux infidèles; et avec ceci (le Coran), lutte contre eux vigoureusement.
EN · Saheeh InternationalSo do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving.

53Al-Furqaan · 53/77
۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌۭ فُرَاتٌۭ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌۭ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًۭا وَحِجْرًۭا مَّحْجُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt c'est Lui qui donne libre cours aux deux mers: l'une douce, rafraîchissante, l'autre salée, amère. Et Il assigne entre les deux une zone intermédiaire et un barrage infranchissable.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)And it is He, Who has let loose the two seas, one palatable and sweet, the other bitter and saltish, and there is a partition between them, which is an insurmountable barrier.
54Al-Furqaan · 54/77
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ بَشَرًۭا فَجَعَلَهُۥ نَسَبًۭا وَصِهْرًۭا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt c'est Lui qui de l'eau a créé une espèce humaine qu'Il unit par les liens de la parenté et de l'alliance. Et ton Seigneur demeure Omnipotent.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)And it is He, Who created man from water: then from him He caused two kinds of kindred, by blood and by marriage: your Lord is AI I-Powerful.
55Al-Furqaan · 55/77
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahMais ils adorent en dehors d'Allah, ce qui ne leur profite point, ni ne leur nuit! Et l'infidèle sera toujours l'allié des ennemis de son Seigneur!
EN · Saheeh InternationalBut they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Yet they worship, instead of Allah, those who can neither benefit them nor harm them: more than this, the disbeliever has become a helper of every rebel against his Lord.
56Al-Furqaan · 56/77
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahOr, Nous ne t'avons envoyé que comme annonciateur et avertisseur.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

57Al-Furqaan · 57/77
قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًۭا
FR · HamidullahDis: «Je ne vous en demande aucun salaire (pour moi même). Toutefois, celui qui veut suivre un chemin conduisant vers son Seigneur [est libre de dépenser dans la voie d'Allah]».
EN · Saheeh InternationalSay, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Tell them, "I do not ask of you any recompense for this work: I only ask of the one, who will, to adopt the way of his Lord.
58Al-Furqaan · 58/77
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْحَىِّ ٱلَّذِى لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا
FR · HamidullahEt place ta confiance en Le Vivant qui ne meurt jamais. Et par Sa louange, glorifie-Le. Il suffit comme Parfait Connaisseur des péchés de Ses serviteurs.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted -

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)O Muhammad trust in that Allah Who is Ever-Living and will never die' Glorify Him with His praise, for He alone is sufficient to be aware of the sins of His servants.
59Al-Furqaan · 59/77
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ فَسْـَٔلْ بِهِۦ خَبِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahC'est Lui qui, en six jours, a créé les cieux, la terre et tout ce qui existe entre eux, et le Tout Miséricordieux S'est établi «Istawâ» ensuite sur le Trône. Interroge donc qui est bien informé de Lui.
EN · Saheeh InternationalHe who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)In six days He created the earth and the heavens and all that is between them; then He established Himself on the "Throne" (of the Kingdom of the uriverse). (He is) the Merciful: as to His Glory, ask the one who knows.
60Al-Furqaan · 60/77
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًۭا ۩
FR · HamidullahEt quand on leur dit: «Prosternez-vous devant le Tout Miséricordieux», ils disent: «Qu'est-ce donc que le Tout Miséricordieux? Allons-nous nous prosterner devant ce que tu nous commandes?» - Et cela accroît leur répulsion.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)When it is said to them. "Prostrate yourselves before the Merciful," they retort, "What is the Merciful? Would you have us prostrate ourselves before whomsoever you will?" And this invitation only helps to increase their hatred all the more.
61Al-Furqaan · 61/77
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًۭا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجًۭا وَقَمَرًۭا مُّنِيرًۭا
FR · HamidullahQue soit béni Celui qui a placé au ciel des constellations et y a placé un luminaire (le soleil) et aussi une lune éclairante!
EN · Saheeh InternationalBlessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)Highly blessed is He, Who has made fortified spheres in the heavens and has set in it a "lamp" and a shining moon.
62Al-Furqaan · 62/77
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةًۭ لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًۭا
FR · HamidullahEt c'est Lui qui a assigné une alternance à la nuit et au jour pour quiconque veut y réfléchir ou montrer sa reconnaissance.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)He it is Who caused the night and the day to succeed each other so that everyone who desires may learn a lesson or become grateful.
63Al-Furqaan · 63/77
وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ هَوْنًۭا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًۭا
FR · HamidullahLes serviteurs du Tout Miséricordieux sont ceux qui marchent humblement sur terre, qui, lorsque les ignorants s'adressent à eux, disent: «Paix»,
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)The (true) servants of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth who, when the ignorant people behave insolently towards them, say, "Peace to you"
64Al-Furqaan · 64/77
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًۭا وَقِيَٰمًۭا
FR · Hamidullahqui passent les nuits prosternés et debout devant leur Seigneur;
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا
FR · Hamidullahqui disent: «Seigneur, écarte de nous le châtiment de l'Enfer». - car son châtiment est permanent.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering;

إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّۭا وَمُقَامًۭا
FR · HamidullahQuels mauvais gîte et lieu de séjour!
EN · Saheeh InternationalIndeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."

FR · HamidullahQui, lorsqu'ils dépensent, ne sont ni prodigues ni avares mais se tiennent au juste milieu.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate

68Al-Furqaan · 68/77
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًۭا
FR · HamidullahQui n'invoquent pas d'autre dieu avec Allah et ne tuent pas la vie qu'Allah a rendue sacrée, sauf à bon droit; qui ne commettent pas de fornication - car quiconque fait cela encourra une punition
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)who do not invoke any god but Allah nor kill a soul, which Allah has forbidden, unjustly, nor commit adultery. -He who does this shall be punished for his sin,
69Al-Furqaan · 69/77
يُضَٰعَفْ لَهُ ٱلْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا
FR · Hamidullahet le châtiment lui sera doublé, au Jour de la Résurrection, et il y demeurera éternellement couvert d'ignominie;
EN · Saheeh InternationalMultiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -

70Al-Furqaan · 70/77
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًۭا صَٰلِحًۭا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ حَسَنَٰتٍۢ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا
FR · Hamidullahsauf celui qui se repent, croit et accomplit une bonne œuvre; ceux-là Allah changera leurs mauvaises actions en bonnes, et Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux;
EN · Saheeh InternationalExcept for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)except the one who may have repented (after those sins) and have believed and done righteous works, for then Allah will change his evil deeds into good deeds, and He is very Forgiving and Merciful.
71Al-Furqaan · 71/77
وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًۭا
FR · Hamidullahet quiconque se repent et accomplit une bonne œuvre c'est vers Allah qu'aboutira son retour.
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance.

72Al-Furqaan · 72/77
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِٱللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا۟ كِرَامًۭا
FR · HamidullahCeux qui ne donnent pas de faux témoignages; et qui, lorsqu'ils passent auprès d'une frivolité, s'en écartent noblement;
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.

73Al-Furqaan · 73/77
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا۟ عَلَيْهَا صُمًّۭا وَعُمْيَانًۭا
FR · Hamidullahqui lorsque les versets de leur Seigneur leur sont rappelés, ne deviennent ni sourds ni aveugles;
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.

74Al-Furqaan · 74/77
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍۢ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
FR · Hamidullahet qui disent: «Seigneur, donne-nous, en nos épouses et nos descendants, la joie des yeux, et fais de nous un guide pour les pieux».
EN · Saheeh InternationalAnd those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)who pray, "Our Lord, bless us with wives and children, who may be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous. " -
75Al-Furqaan · 75/77
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ ٱلْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةًۭ وَسَلَٰمًا
FR · HamidullahCeux-là auront pour récompense un lieu élevé [du Paradis] à cause de leur endurance, et ils y seront accueillis avec le salut et la paix,
EN · Saheeh InternationalThose will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace.

76Al-Furqaan · 76/77
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّۭا وَمُقَامًۭا
FR · Hamidullahpour y demeurer éternellement. Quel beau gîte et lieu de séjour!
EN · Saheeh InternationalAbiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.

77Al-Furqaan · 77/77
قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا۟ بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًۢا
FR · HamidullahDis: «Mon Seigneur ne se souciera pas de vous sans votre prière; mais vous avez, démenti (le Prophète). Votre [châtiment] sera inévitable et permanent.
EN · Saheeh InternationalSay, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent.

EN · Tafhim-ul-Quran (Maududi)O Muhammad, tell the people, "MyLord does not care at all if you do not invoke Him. Now that you have denied (His Revelation), you will soon be awarded such a punishment which you will never be able to avoid."
